What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented Account Manager to build strong client relationships, maintained through high quality work, which is delivered on time and meets, or exceeds, client expectations.

Our client relationships are built on trust and expertise, and our Account Managers achieve this by demonstrating Digital Marketing competence across all areas, from SEO and PPC, to user experience and conversion optimisation. Therefore, at least two years experience in a Digital Marketing role is essential.

Managing around five to ten clients in a varied and autonomous role, Account Managers are the key point of contact for clients, as well as being responsible for a small team of Digital Marketing Executives.

They are expected to support all stages of a project for existing clients. This includes demonstrating digital marketing knowledge and application, and effective project management skills.

Staying on top of the results of a client’s digital marketing activity is a key part of the role, communicating all achievements with the client and identifying opportunities to greater enhance a client’s digital presence.

Account Managers are expected to work with clients to understand project requirements, suggest value-added opportunities, and determine costs and timescales for completing work. The output of this activity being the delivery of project proposals, presentations and reports. When project requirements have been been agreed, Account Managers will schedule all activity across AlphaQuad’s marketing, design and build departments, ensuring a high standard of work at all times and keeping projects on schedule.

As well as day-to-day account and project management, the Account Manager will also have financial and forecasting responsibilities include project quoting, invoicing and profitability / performance reviews.

Key responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with clients based on trust and credibility
  • Creating and presenting value added opportunities for client accounts
  • Project planning and management
  • Identifying resourcing requirements
  • Ensuring individuals and teams have the information they require to complete work successfully
  • Liaising with internal and external resource to ensure that tasks and projects are completed to deadline and of a high quality
  • Quality checking work to ensure all activity is completed to a standard that meets, or exceeds, client expectation
  • Financial forecasting and accurately quoting projects and tasks
  • Financial administrative duties such as billing and invoicing
  • Other team leader requirements, such as appraisals and regular one-to-ones, keeping the team informed of client information through regular communication
  • Motivation and pastoral care of the team ensuring that, to the extent that is possible, factors both internal and external are recognised and supported
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and techniques, and communicating this to clients and the AlphaQuad team
  • Working with our Digital Strategist to provide strategic support for clients and ensure that best practice is adhered to
  • Producing high quality documentation (proposals, presentations and reports) for clients and maintaining quality control for all client work
  • Managing own workload effectively

Generous holiday allowance

You’ll get a standard holiday allowance of 22 days per year, plus we’ll give you an extended Christmas break when we lock up the office for the festive period on Christmas Eve and return in the new year (which won’t come out of your standard allowance). You’ll also get an extra day's holiday for each year you work at AlphaQuad (up to five years)
