What we're looking for

The job

Alphaquad is looking for a Creative Digital Designer ideally with at least 2-3 years agency experience to join our creative team. We are looking for someone with primary experience in digital, and therefore an understanding of html and css will be beneficial although not essential. You must however be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

You will be working alongside our Lead Creative Designer, collaborating with developers and account teams to find the right solutions for our clients. You will work with both small and large brands so it is important that you can follow and understand corporate brand guidelines.

Your projects will include designing for emails, social media, online and offline promotional material and presentations, as well as taking on wireframes, and turning them into intuitive designs for responsive websites, tools and apps.

The person

You’ll be bright, responsible and self-disciplined – highly motivated and a good communicator who is well organised and excellent at problem solving. You’ll be confident, reliable and able to develop designs for a variety of clients and applications.

If you’re capable of producing outstanding, fully realised ideas, from concept through to completion and have a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship in all aspects of the job, then Alphaquad would like to meet you.

Key skills summary

  • 2-3 years of agency experience (and/or outstanding portfolio)
  • Be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
  • Have an interest in UI/UX and a good understanding of web performance
  • Have a basic understanding of, or aptitude to learn, HTML and CSS
  • Ability to understand the big picture and think conceptually
  • Great communicator
  • Good attitude to team working and multitasking
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under time constraints
  • Experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Keynote would be advantageous

Key responsibilities and requirements

  • Discussing project requirements and briefs with project team and development team
  • Presenting creative ideas to meet the clients requirements
  • Provide engaging solutions and visuals for emails, social media, online and offline promotional material and presentations
  • Understanding user journeys and interpreting them into wireframes and full designs for responsive websites
  • Communicate your designs to web developers and provide assets for production
  • Providing design advice to other members of the team
  • Have a rich and varied portfolio of work demonstrating exceptional design skills
  • Full UK driving licence
